Never ever argue with the DM. I don’t care if the ruling is fucking obscure as hell, or if it defies the rules in the book. Its his world, his rules. If he wants Magic Missile to be flammable, by fucks sake its flammable. *coughJoshuacough*
I am going to have disagree with the above comment. I almost never argue with the DM, but… The last Star Wars campaign I played in, the DM was such an epic ass that there was several times when I had to argue with him because he would have murdered the entire party through his bullshit, inconsistent interpretations of the rules.
I had to become the worst rules lawyer, out of pure self-defense. That’s a pretty big reason why we bailed on that group.
